Chair Yoga Classes
Crossmount is excited to start off the New Year by offering a series of Chair Yoga classes!
Everybody can experience the health benefits of yoga- sometimes we just need a little more guidance and physical support. In chair yoga, the teachers have advanced training to bring a safe, healthy, and fun yoga practice for older adults, those with various health conditions, mobility issues, or for those who just need a little bit of additional support.
Yoga practice helps deepen flexibility, increase strength, and improve overall personal body awareness, as well, leads to improved functional independence and bettered quality of life.
This is a 4-class series. No experience necessary- just a desire to move your body and mind.
Class Dates: January 7th, January 14th, January 21st, January 28th
Class Time: 10:00-11:00am
Cost: $60 +tax for all 4 classes
Where: Highlander Room (The Glen)
What to Bring:
- Comfortable clothing
- Water bottle
- Yoga mat (if you have)
About the Teacher:
A graduate from the University of Saskatchewan, Amy Garnett earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2012 followed by her Master of Physical Therapy in 2014. She currently works as a physiotherapist with Vangool Wellness and became a Chair Yoga Teacher in 2019.
